Wedding Invitations /// Lauren & Mark / by Jen Bachelder

Spring Set Number Three

One thing I've learned about brides is that they are all very very different. Even ladies I've been friends with my entire life can surprise me on and leading up to their big day. I'm not saying that I was surprised at how organized Lauren was at our first meeting, but man, was she organized. She had answers to almost every one of my questions. This is not common.

After browsing Lauren's pinterest page, I couldn't wait to jump in. Clean. Classy. A little throwback. I saw an opportunity to use deep colors while keeping the feeling warm and inviting.

From minute one, Lauren had some very specific imagery in mind: lights and exposed brick. Even more specifically, "No flowers and shit." I hear ya, girl. She used words like elegant and vintage, but still hoping to keep it casual. Done and done.

Given Lauren's specific instructions, I was a little nervous about feedback (hence the very different looks in the 4 and 5 slots). Thankfully, drafts 1 and 2 were both close, but neither one hit it exactly. We tested a few additional fonts and layouts on each background. Presto chango.
