Late last year, a friend of a friend asked me to try something I hadn't attempted in a little over 5 years -- she decided that she absolutely had to have a portrait of her black lab, Moose, for her fiancé's Christmas gift. After a few days of sorting through my garbage for shades of black and gray, I got to work on a mosaic-style collage.
